In mediation, opposing parties are aided by a neutral third party who is trained to listen to both sides of the dispute. The mediator’s goal is to guide the parties in reaching a written mediated settlement agreement that meets the needs of the parties and their children.
Under Texas law, mediation allows you and the opposing party to try to find a solution to your family law issue in a more private setting than in a public courtroom.
